Valec comes from the human world and lives a monotonous life. Every day he wonders what life has in store for him. His parents died in a car accident, and he and his twin brother Nevio were sent to an orphanage at the age of four. Overnight Nevio was adopted and Valec was left behind. He lived in the home until he was 18, when he moved to a dormitory, which he was able to afford by working small part-time jobs.

One day he comes home and hears the sound of a voice calling for help. Before he knows it, he is drawn into the mystical realm of Lyhjem, where he meets Rina and Alynna directly. Amazingly, he quickly settles into the small village of Gliori and quickly becomes part of society. He especially spends a lot of time with Rina and Alynna, who take him under their wing and initiate him into the ways of his new home.

Valec is a brash and stubborn young man who often acts before he thinks. His loose mouth gets him a laugh or two among his companions, but also causes resentment among some of the people he has to deal with. Valec doesn’t get along particularly well with authority figures. He appreciates the benefits of a simple life and likes it rather quiet and cozy. However, Rina in particular keeps Valec in check, which means he doesn’t really have time to put his feet up.

He has a strong protective instinct towards his loved ones and is always ready to go to extremes to protect his companions. Behind his cheeky nature is a sensitive young man who thinks a lot about the feelings of his loved ones.
